  • Business News

Elevate Accounting Manager Damian Cocking has been recognised at the Accountants Daily 30 Under 30 Awards, winning the prestigious “Multiservice” Award.

The national awards ceremony looked different this year, held in Sydney with nominees attending virtually, but it did not stop the excitement as the country’s youngest accounting professionals were honoured in front of their peers.

“I am extremely proud and humbled to win this award,” Damian said.

“Recognising the achievements of my fellow under 30 peers, it’s an exciting future ahead for the industry and I want to thank Shane and the team at Elevate Accounting for giving me such incredible opportunities within the firm.”

Managing Director of Elevate Accounting, Shane Crommelin honoured the recognition Damian received at Friday’s Awards ceremony.

“The 30 Under 30 Awards put the most innovative young Accountants together and recognises their extraordinary talents within the industry,” he said.

“For Damian to take home the Multiservice Award is something we are all very proud of at Elevate Accounting.”

Accountants Daily presented 30 individuals with awards across 15 categories out of 114 finalists during the event that saw a range of professionals recognised across the board including accountants in boutique firms, public accountants, new accountants, auditors, bookkeepers, and those in corporate and management, and restructuring and insolvency.

“On behalf of the team, I’d like to congratulate all of those who made the cut in this year’s event. We look forward to following your success as you continue your career progression,” said Emma Ryan, acting-editor of Accountants Daily.

“Accountants Daily’s 30 Under 30 is an opportune time to recognise the rising stars within the profession. Despite being early on in their careers, the recipients of the event are already breaking considerable ground in their respective roles, instilling a great level of confidence industry-wide.”
